At New Unity Baptist Church,

the Joshua Circle serves as a gathering of leaders committed to prayerful discernment,

shared responsibility, and faithful stewardship of the church’s life and direction.

This is not leadership for visibility—
it is leadership for service, formation, and care.

How We Lead

Led by Pastor–Servant–Leader, Rev. Johnny N. Golden, Sr.,

the Joshua Circle reflects a model of leadership shaped by Scripture,

sustained by prayer, and grounded in humility.

Here, vision is not manufactured—
it is discerned.

Direction is not rushed—
it is prayed through.

And leadership is not assumed—
it is lived faithfully over time.

Our Work

The Joshua Circle helps guide the life of the church through:

    Ensuring that every ministry and initiative remains rooted in the Word of God.
  • Discernment & Direction
    Listening for how the Spirit is leading the church in each season.
  • Leadership Formation
    Encouraging, mentoring, and preparing those called to lead.

    Supporting a culture of unity, accountability, and shared responsibility.
