Since 1917, this house has stood as sanctuary and sending place—
a place where weary souls are welcomed,
faith is formed,
and people are equipped for the work God has placed before them.

We are a Baptist church in Baltimore committed to worship, discipleship, justice, prayer, and community transformation.

But more than that—

we are a people being shaped by the Spirit of God.

For years, the life of this ministry has been guided by a sacred conviction:
that the Church is called not merely to gather people—
but to equip them.

Rooted in the witness of Ephesians,
guided by the prophetic burden to “write the vision,”
and sustained by the understanding that where vision fades, people falter—

we have sought to build a ministry that forms disciples for faithful living and Kingdom work.

What began as a phrase
became a practice.

What began as a teaching
became a culture.

Through preaching,
prayer, pedagogy,
discipleship,
worship,
study,
service,
and sacred fellowship,
we labor to build a people:

formed by the Word,
aligned by the Spirit,
and equipped to serve courageously in the world.
