Why We Serve

At New Unity Baptist Church, we believe worship does not end at the altar—
it continues in the streets, in homes, in hospitals, and wherever human need is found.

Missions is not an auxiliary of the church.

It is the evidence of the Gospel at work.

To follow Christ is to move toward the hurting,
to stand with the vulnerable,
and to serve with compassion, dignity, and love.

Our Calling

In obedience to Christ, we are committed to:

• Visiting the sick and shut-in
• Supporting families in seasons of grief and hardship
• Serving those facing hunger, instability, or crisis
• Responding to need—both in our city and beyond

Led by Deacon Millicent Hoover and Sister Tonya Scott, this ministry ensures that New Unity remains a church that does not simply gather—

but goes.

How We Serve

Compassion in Crisis
We respond to moments of need—locally and globally—offering prayer, resources, and tangible support when it matters most.

Thanksgiving Community Giveaway
Each year, we provide meals and groceries to families across our community, ensuring that no table is empty during the season of gratitude.

Back-to-School Community Partnership
Through our partnership with Hamilton Elementary/Middle School, we equip students and families with backpacks, school supplies, and encouragement for the year ahead.

Because preparing a child for school is not just an educational act—
it is an act of hope.
