This year as we commemorate and celebrate thirty years of togetherness with the great people of the New Unity Baptist Church our hearts and minds are filled with so many majestic memories, moments of magic and magnificence.

Memories of warmth, merriment, and glee. Nothing shorter than the singing of the angels concerning heaven’s long-awaited arrival on earth could herald such a significant Noel on such a magnificent occasion as this.

Love, the noblest of all virtue, is truly beyond human measure. No depth, nor height, nor powers or principalities are able to separate the loved from the Beloved.

With profound gratitude to the Godhead, Father, Son and Holy Ghost, the innumerable cast of the heavenly host bearing witness, we stand, nay, bow in humble gratitude for the immense honor we have had over, yea, these past thirty years of being called to pastor and pasture the people of “The Greatest Church that the Lord has Planted Anywhere.”

Thirty! What a glorious number it is:

1. Jesus is 30  when he begins his ministry on earth.
2. Joseph was 30 when he stood before Pharaoh, King of Egypt.
3. King David was 30 when he began to reign.
4. Ezekiel begins his writings with the words “in the 30th year”

So, with boundless love and ever-increasing enthusiasm, we say “Thank you, New Unity” for this Golden honor of immeasurable grace and love.
