Warm Hearts And Smiles Welcome You

“For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.” 

 

Our mission is uniquely found in "doing the work of the Kingdom." We find Christian pleasure  working together as a team, creating a warm and welcoming environment for our members, visitors, and the community at large

 To aid and support the Pastoral staff, ministers, officers, and various ministries advance God’s kingdom, we actively participate in spiritual growth and development through church discipleship.

The Ushers & Greeters Ministry demonstrate the Lord's Great Commandment; (Matthew 22: 36 - 40) by greeting everyone with Love, a Smile, and warm hearts to promote and foster an atmosphere where all  are made to feel welcome without exception.

We also assist in overseeing the worship taking special care to ensure  that the worship experience is undergirded with safety and order..

We would surely love to have you and for family and friends join in with us so, please, consider joining this most fulfilling service of hospitality connecting ministry to worship, smiles to laughter and community to church.

I consider myself as being a loyal,  patient,  hardworking, honest person.  I communicate well with most people .  I consider myself of having a good sense of humor and a pleasant personality.


 I received a BA degree in Elementary Education and later a  Master's Degree  in School Librarianship. I taught school for 35 years on the early elementary level. Out of those 35 years , I served as the school  Media Specialist for 3 years.


 After retiring in 2011, I never stopped teaching and helping children.  I continued in the education field for another 8 years as a volunteer in reading and a  literacy program under the AARP program. 

I am serving as an usher at the New Unity Baptist Church.  I have been serving  in this position about 9 years now.  There's great teamwork as we seek to serve the parishioners with TLC (tender loving care).
