One of the great blessings of our church is the many wonderful members and friends that the Lord has permitted us to come to know and to love.

In all of life there are few, precious few, blessings beyond friendship. Worship is the avenue in which we come to know more about God - his calming presence, and the saving grace each of us has in his son Jesus Christ. But it is in friendship that we experience intimacy and common interest.

New Unity has a ministry that was born of such closeness; it is our You Matter Ministry! Our ministry leader is our 'youthful' church leader, Deacon Marion Marie Highe. A retired educator, “Hi,” as she is affectionately called by many, has a warm, welcoming personality and has been a member of the New Unity Church for nearly 60 consecutive years!

The mission of the You Matter Ministry is to provide a place and a space for seniors to come together, socialize, and share. Someone aptly – and accurately – said that “Sharing is Caring”.

Presently, the ministry gathers via the internet – ZOOM. And whether it is by laptop, iPad, tablet, or regular telephone everyone can participate. Do you have a senior in your family who could use an occasional lift in their spirit? Then I heartily recommend New Unity’s You Matter Ministry, simply click or copy and paste the link below and join in at the next monthly gathering.

I must warn you that you will likely have a super duper good time with some of the grandest folk that the universe has to offer. As our charming leader, “Deacon Hi” often says ‘it is not about me it is all about others because U Matter!
