Advent Season

As I thought about the many things I could say about the advent season, I recalled a movie I recently watched, "Collateral Beauty," and suddenly, I had an epiphany. Yes, that is genuinely what the advent season is all about, the collateral beauty of God's greatest gift to humanity, Jesus. “Collateral Beauty” – there is beauty and love in everything.

That's who Jesus is, "Collateral Beauty" given to all. Sometimes that's hard to see or find the beauty and love in life. How can there be love in losing a child, loved one,  a job, or income. But it's there just as the Son of God is always there. So what is my responsibility in all this? Is it truly to find God's love that exit even in tragic situations.   Is that truly who Jesus is. He was born the Savory of the world to love us through anything we go through because He first loved us. I must always remember He is still there and let that "Collateral Beauty" - Christ's Love in everything that is apart of me. That "Collateral Beauty," Jesus can heal and restore my mind, body, and spirit. Whatever state in life I find myself in, I will be victorious if I can find that "Collateral Beauty." I must embrace all of whom Jesus is.  I thank God for the "Collateral Beauty" He gave me Jesus.

Merry Christmas, happy new year. Full of "Collateral Beauty."
