There you have it; the Top 10 Most Common New Year's Resolutions. History says that less than half of us will keep the resolution active throughout the entire year. (Thatz the nice way of saying most of us just won't make it happen'. Ooh ouch!)

One way in which to stay on track is to find a partner:

  1. Find some kindred spirits with similar goals
  2. Meet regularly (weekly or monthly, depending on the level of commitment)
  3. Share setbacks and progress
  4. Stay motivated!

On tomorrow, we begin our first Fast & Prayer Session of the New Year. You can Fast & Pray as little or as often as you are able, and/or are led to do. There are NO RULES. The only thing we ask is that you "Just Do It" in Sincerity.

Of course, we do have biblical guidance and foundations to follow - there's no better Guide than the Bible itself, so Isaiah 58 is a great place to start and then moving over to Matthew 6:16 an Matthew 4: 1- 11 are excellent lessons on Jesus' "Rules" of Fasting.

If time permits listen to this podcast: www.theologyofwork.org/the-high-calling/daily-reflection/two-instructions-jesus-fasting.  Barbara Myrick a female construction company owner makes it so plain and simple for me.  I really enjoyed listening to her.

So, whether itz one meal or more; half a day / all day or whatever, join us tomorrow as we pray for our Children, our City, Our Church.

ps. the partner can't be the partner until you ask them. Make the call
