What State of Health Do You Live In?
My brothers, I know there have been times during the course of your life that you have been asked “What 'state' do you live in?” Perhaps the question was asked of you when you were filling out a form for school or hospital, or maybe when applying for a job or credit. Possibly filing tax forms, a contract, marriage or driver’s license application or some other important document or agreement.
I ask, have you really thought about ‘what state of health you really live in’? If the answer is no, I suggest you take the time now to give it some serious thought and consideration.
June is Men’s Health Month, this month is set aside particularly to focus on raising the awareness of health care not only for men, but boys and their families to practice and implement healthy living decisions such as exercising and eating healthy.
“Beloved I wish above all things that thou may prosper and be in health even as thy soul prospereth.” (3John 1:2)
As for us men we really need to focus on preventive healthcare such as making certain we get regular prostate exams, regular blood pressure testing, testing for diabetes, colorectal cancer, etc. Of course, our mental health is equally essential as well.
To that end we need to find healthy ways to minimize our stress and mental trauma. One way to do that I find is to exercise, which also ties into our physical wellness. Therefore my brothers, let us make certain that our residence is in that state of good health as much as possible! And remember that PRAYER is key to our overall well being in anything and everything.
I offer to you an opportunity to share with the Mighty Men of Valor Men’s Ministry that meet generally every 3rd Saturday of the month from 3-4 pm. You are invited to share with this dynamic ministry of the great New Unity Baptist Church, as we freely discuss these topics and so much more.
This month our fellowship takes place on Saturday, June 19, the month in which we honor and highlight Fathers and Father figures.

It is up to us brothers to be mindful of our health and well-being. We need to be informed and educated about our health risks and health needs. Our families and friends are counting on us to be in good health in order that we be there for and with them.
Well brothers, as I close, I want to wish you one and all the Greatest Father’s Day you have yet to experience.
Peace & Blessings.
